DRIVETRAIN
This Series 3 has gone over a full engine conversion using a Alpina D3 N47 Engine.
We utilised a fully reconditioned powertrain and mated it to a 6 Speed GS BMW gearbox which is proven to be exceptionally strong and is used in 123d and 330d vehicles - A LT230 Transfer Box + Adaptor was installed to retain the 4wd system. Front and Rear Diffs are Upgraded with Range Rover Gearing built by Ashcroft
SUSPENSION
This Vehicle has been used as a development mule for our future Defender and Series Builds ​
We retained the Leaf System, but upgraded them to parabolic springs and long travel shock absorbers
Steering was upgraded using a P38 Steering Box and Custom Link set up, Currently has no power assistance, i believe the vehicle really dose not need this unless going slow, we have a full electric power steering kit available to go on for no extra cost

Wolf Defender wheels colour matched with front extended stud kit , Falken AT tyres with rear spare , defender door seal conversion and factory re galvanised tub capping and window frames, defender wing mirrors, new doors all round , all other panels are orginal - Painted in BMW Mini Ice Blue

HISTORY
1981 Land Rover Series 3
Originally a 2.25 Diesel N/A SWB Van was finished in Marine Blue, The vehicle was purchased by a Caravan Dealer which was used around the site for manoeuvring stock.
During ownership the vehicle was repainted in bronze green.

Was sold to a enthusiast in the Norfolk area which had sitting for a number of years before it eventually was sold to us.
Overall the vehicle was in great condition all panels original, hardly a mark on it.
We fully stripped the vehicle down to assess the condition of the chassis, made a few tweaks to aid with the engine swap we had planed
NOTES
Vehicle is a prototype and was built with R&D in mind, we still have a few bits to finish off but are open to a bid, or the price listed we can Taylor the last few tweaks to your requirements .
